It is with our deepest regret that we, the MacLean family announce the passing of our sister Claudia (MacLean) Young on February 17th at the age of 75 with her family at her side. She went peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour whom she loved and served for over 50 years. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Ford of 55 years. They had four children, two sons Dan (Lorraine), Brian (Cheryl) and two daughters Marina Young and Nancy (Phil) Royle. Claudia and her husband lived in Beachside, Green Bay for a short while before moving to Corner Brook in the early 70’s. Twenty two years ago they moved to British Columbia to be near their children. Left to mourn are her four sisters Bonnie Born, Ontario, Marina (Gordon) Rose, Dianne (Charlie) Temple, Pam (Martin) George and their families, all of Corner Brook, three brothers Garland, Prince George, BC; Richard (Lillian) and Jack (Noella) of Corner Brook as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Corner Brook and Beachside. Also left with fond memories her best friend Bessie Reid. Predeceased by her father and mother Daniel and Hazel MacLean. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20 at the Prince George Funeral Home, Prince George, BC. Friends who wish may send memorial donations in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
