It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Leo Glynn. Gordon Passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 after a very brave battle with cancer. He is a retired employee of NL Power. Gordon is predeceased by his parents Mary and Leo Glynn and his sister Theresa (John Hickey); his parents-in-law Lillian and Cecil Pike; his sister-in-law Dorothy Hilliker (Howard), Margaret Rose-Pineo (Bill) and his brothers-in-law Gordon Pike (Barbara), Clarence Pike and Ashton Evans. Gordon leaves with a lifetime of beautiful memories his wife and best friend June (Pike); two daughters Cathy Roche (Don), Kelly Rumsey (Bill) and his son John. The light in his life his precious grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Mark, Jesse, Jake, Kyle, his beautiful Kate and our gift from China Lily; His sister Shirley; brothers Bob (his tea buddy) (Mary) and Gerald (Janet); sisters-in-law Polly Lenner, Shirley McNeil (Don) and Mary Pike; brothers-in-law Steve Pike (Maureen) and Cliff Pike (Paula). Also a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At Gordon's request cremation has already taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove. Inurnment to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Outer Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Arthritis Society of Newfoundland.
