It is with great pain and sorrow we announce the passing of Earl Bartlett on Feb. 16, 2010, he was a father and a friend to many.
Earl was born October 24, 1942 in Glace Bay.
He was predeceased by his father, Tom Bartlett and his grandmother, Charlotte Bartlett.
Earl leaves behind his son, Charles ‘Charlie’ Bartlett of Glace Bay (now resides in Halifax); granddaughter, Charlene Totten of New Waterford and great-grandson, Charles Totten of New Waterford; his long time friend, Doreen Davidson of Glace Bay and her children, who he was a father to, Shane Daley and Tara Daley and granddaughter Nevaeh Daley, all of Glace Bay and many friends too numerous to mention.
When Earl was younger he worked in the mines in Winnipeg, he worked on the deep sea fishing boats and he also worked as a bartender at the Calidonia Club and later at the Main Event in Glace Bay, he met many friends in this industry. He also loved to play baseball and was the coach of the McKinley ball team.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home.
