FLEMING, James M. – Of Seattle, Washington, Retired Officer of US Army, passed away suddenly at his home on January 19, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary (Mackey) of Carbonear and his five children and their families: Kathleen (Dan) Amundsen, James (Joanne) Fleming, Clare (Frank) Lyons, Patricia (Michael) Hickok, and Teresa (Brian) Bellevue, as well as his wide circle of family and friends both in the US and Newfoundland. Funeral Mass took place at St. Brendan's Church, Bothell, Washington with burial at Hollyrood Cemetery, Bothell with full Military Honors. Newfoundlanders have lost a true champion of our culture and history. Jim tirelessly researched the history of our church and communities, writing three books to share his findings.
