MACDONALD, DOROTHY "DOLLY" - Dorothy “Dolly” Macdonald, of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on August 14, 2014 at the age of 88. Born in Digby, NS on December 20, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Hilda (Rice) Wilson of Digby, NS. Dolly was an active member in the Mountain View United Church and the UCW for many years. She loved to give and help whoever she could, she also loved to support many charities through donations. She was known for her great cooking, especially her mean scallop dinner and her sweet sweet sweets. She enjoyed people, gardening, knitting, crocheting, crafts, cards, bowling, a good bargain and of course, a good laugh.
Dolly will be dearly missed by her husband Huntley Macdonald (Moncton) of 62 years, son Tim (Yolande) Macdonald, granddaughter Melanie Macdonald, great-grandson Eli Macdonald all of Dartmouth NS and in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Dolly’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Dolly’s memory may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
