McGEE, OLIVE ELLEN - Olive E. McGee formerly of McAdam, NB, passed away August 16, 2014, at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born at McAdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Orrington Rushton and Vergie (Sutherland) Rushton. Olive enjoyed going for walks, picnics, playing cards, rug hooking, knitting, reading, crossword puzzles and most important, being surrounded by those who she loved, her family. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Cleghorn (George), Harvey, NB; Carla McGee, McAdam, NB; one son Peter McGee, McAdam, NB; five grandchildren, Tammy Martin (Ricky), Tracy, NB; Daniel McDougall, Fredericton, NB; Lisa Oneill, Mazerolle Settlement, NB; Bryce Cleghorn (Julia), Mazerolle Settlement, NB and Cathy Jewett (Edwin), Douglas, NB; five great-grandchildren, Micaela, Claire, Ryan, Emily and Jack and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Olive was predeceased by her husband, Chester McGee, one daughter, Sharon McDougall, one brother Arthur Rushton, four sisters, Edith Clark, Edna Richard, Phyllis and Amy Rushton, and one daughter in law, Doreen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Pauls United Church, 155 Saunders Road, McAdam, NB from 12 to 2 pm. Following visitation a graveside service will be held at the Rockland Cemetery. Gary Cran will be officiating. Pallbearers will be George Cleghorn, Bryce Cleghorn, Edwin Jewett and Tom Delaney. In lieu of flowers, for those of you who wish to make a donation, the family has requested Alzheimers Society or Cancer Society.
