It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Wicks announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 in his 77th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Christine nee Pittman, his children; Fraser (Lillie) Wicks, Robert (Angela ) Wicks, and Carmel (Brendon) Fradsham all of Jackson\'s Arm, and Lester (Candace) Wicks of Shelbrune, Ontario, his grandchildren; Alisha, Alicia, James, Cassidy, and Logan, his sisters; Mrs. Annie Thistle, Jean (Ronald) Howell both of Corner Brook, N.L., and Mrs. Florence Ford of Ontario, and sister-in-law Sadie, his aunts; Mrs. Alma Jones, Mrs. Jean Cassell, and Mrs. Mildred Wicks, Also leaving mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends, and his extended family. Wilfred was predeceased by his parents; Harold and Prudence Wicks, his daughter; Audrey Wicks, his brothers; Frederick, Stewart, Leander, and Eric Wicks, his sisters; Elizabeth (Maxwell) Canning, and Nellie (George) Ford, and his brother in law; Earl Thistle. The family will be receiving family and friends Today, Monday February 22nd, 2010,from the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., from St. Bartholomew Anglican church in Jackson\'s Arm, from where also the Funeral service will take place from on Tuesday February 23rd, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev: Hannah Dicks officiating with the burial to follow at the Church Cemetery, in Jackson\'s Arm.
