STAPLETON, Annie L. (Kielly) — Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the early hours of Jan. 3, 2009, after 98 wonderful years, Annie L. Stapleton. Leaving to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her nieces, Geraldine (Fred) Miller, St. John’s, Mary (Rick) Watkin, New Brunswick and Aggie Pasley, Nova Scotia and their families. Special great-niece Sharon (Doug) King, Mt. Pearl, special nephew Donnie (Gail) Stapleton, Mt. Pearl as well as a large number of nieces and nephews of the Fleming, Stapleton and Kielly families. In addition to her family, Annie will be remembered by her many friends from Parade Street, Pasadena Crescent, Hillcrest Estates and most especially her caregivers at Chancellor Park. She enjoyed a full life with her first husband Jack Kielly of 32 years and with her second husband Jack Stapleton of 34 years who both predeceased her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road with hours of visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral Monday Jan. 5, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
