BUNNELL, DARLENE - Mrs. Darlene Bunnell (Tozer – Hachey) wife of David Bunnell of McWilliam Drive, Miramichi NB passed away Saturday morning August 23, 2014, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 65. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Lillian (Hare) Waye. She was a Registered Nurse. A member of St. James & St. John United Church, the Church Choir, past member of church council, past matron of Prince Andrew Chapter # 42, present member of Miramichi Chapter # 44, Order of the Eastern Star of New Brunswick. She was a graduate of Miramichi Hospital School of Nursing Class of ’69. She worked at Miramichi Hospital and Miramichi Regional Hospital, she was a member of Miramichi senior and retired Nurses Association. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting, cross stitching and scrapbooking but the most joy in her life was from being the best “Nanny” in the world. Besides her husband David she is survived by four daughters, Vicki Tozer Butler (John) of Miramichi, NB, Becky Tozer Steeves of Miramichi, NB, Lori Wardle (Tom) of Rockland ON and Traci Presley (Gary) of Osgoode, ON, one son, Evan Tozer (Bobbie Jo) of Stanley, NB, two sisters, Ella Fraser of Fort St. John, BC and Mona Coull (Dave) of Miramichi, NB, three brothers, Weldon Waye (Marg) of Miramichi, NB, Delbert Waye (Connie) of Boom Road, NB and Kenny Waye (Bonnie) of Quispamsis, NB, grandchildren, Grace Steeves, Maxwell Steeves, Nadia Steeves and Benjamin Steeves, step grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Wardle and Megan Butler. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Hachey and one brother Irvine Waye.
Mrs. Darlene Bunnell is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. James & St. John United Church, with Reverend John Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in Miramichi Cemetery.
