SUDSBURY, Olivette Martha – age 95, of Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, formerly of Amirault’s Hill, passed away on August 21, 2014 in Nakile Home for Special Care. Born in Amirault’s Hill on September 20, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Emelie (Muise) Meuse. Olivette was a school teacher for a number of years, having taught at Amirault’s Hill. She is survived by her sons, Medric (Sharon) Landry, Yarmouth; Harold (Mary) Landry, George’s River, Cape Breton; Neil (Almira) Landry, Dartmouth; sisters, Adelta Moulaison and Emilienne Frotten, both at Nakile Home for Special Care. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Landry and her second husband, Floyd Sudsbury; son, Howard who is a twin to Harold; sisters, Angeline, Celina, Juliette and Isabelle; brothers, Daniel, Benedict and Eugene. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 Monday, August 25 in Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. An interment was held in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Olivette’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
