ARSENAULT, Jessica April – age 24 years, of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter and girlfriend. Born at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on April 4, 1990, Jessica was a loving and dedicated mother to Quentin, only daughter of Mike and Kathy (Keating) Arsenault, and girlfriend of Maegan Smithman. We will remember Jessica in our hearts for her passion for life whether it be her close relationships with her family and friends, her love of children and animals or staying true to her beliefs. She took great enjoyment in sharing her love of the outdoors with Quentin and Maegan. Although her life was short its impact was large. For those who had the privilege to know and love her, she showed immense strength to face numerous health challenges over the last 16 years and still live the life she wanted. It was not always an easy road but she stayed dedicated and focused on her son, her career and her family. Jessica was a recent graduate of the Deaf Studies Program at Nova Scotia Community College Waterfront Campus and was working towards her qualification as an American Sign Language/English Interpreter. She is survived by her son and parents, grandmother Donna Arsenault, grandparents Kevin and Suzanne Keating, great grandmother Alice Martin. Paternal Uncle David, paternal Aunts Michelle (Jim), Susan (Rejean), Cindy (Sonny), maternal Uncles Basil (Wanda), Russell (Lori), maternal Aunts Dorothy (Dave), Lori (Shane) and extended family in both Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Predeceased by her grandfather Don and Uncle Brian, forever loved and forever missed , she joins them to twinkle as a bright star in the sky. Special thank you to Dr. Cindy Lee Boudreau for her dedication to Jessica and support to the family. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11:00 am at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Family flowers only, please.
