COPELAND, GLADYS - The death of Gladys Irene Ellen Copeland occurred Monday, August 25th, 2014 at Mill Cove Nursing Home. Born August 18th, 1917 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Enslie and Nellie Barton. Survived by sons, Hayward (Theresa) of Minto and Wayne (Betty)of Chipman; daughters, Faye Copeland of Long Reach, Dorothy Quondam (Umberto) of Dalhousie and Betty Gagne (Denis )of Bouctouche; son in law Eldon Kilfillen of Minto; daughter-in-law, Carol Copeland of Minto; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Copeland; a son, Lester; daughters Joyce Copeland and Judy Kilfillen; granddaughter, Christina Kilfillen; brother, Herb Barton; sisters, Doris Barton and Ruby Thompson
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, August 28th, 2014 from the United Baptist Church of Minto. Interment will take place in Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension.
