Ginter, Peter Allen Ginter, age 68, of Swift Current, passed away August 24, 2014 at home. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 from Schoenfeld Mennonite Church with Reverend Abe Funk officiating. The Pallbearers were Kenny Bender, Kevin Bender, Shellie Ginter and Blair Ginter. The Interment Service took place at Schoenfeld Cemetery. Peter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine; daughter Shellie and grandson Braeden; son Blair (Tracy) and grandsons Jake, Caleb and Keziah; brothers and sisters Abe, Jake, Dave, Frank, Susan and Elizabeth; Bernadette's son Shane Snyders, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Susan Ginter; Elaine's parents, Jacob and Sarah Ewert; brother John and Elaine Ginter, brother Aaron Ginter, sister Anne and Ranul Levesque and niece Bernadette Levesque. Peter was born on February 24, 1946 in the Vanguard District. He attended school at Wymark. Peter was united in marriage to Elaine Ewert on July 12, 1969 at the First United Church in Swift Current. He started work at the family farm, then worked for various companies in Swift Current, including roofing the Wheatland Mall. He was a successful entrepreneur who enjoyed many trades. Peter and his brother Dave renovated and ran the Rainbow Motel. Peter farmed in the Leinan area and contracted with Canada Post for 14 years. He completed many construction projects within Swift Current and then purchased his acreage in 2000 and built a retirement hobby farm. Peter truly enjoyed going to action sales with his grandson Braeden as his right hand man. He always found things to do and was always there for his children. The last family trip was to their daughter Shellie's home in Valleyveiw, Ab. Their son Blair, his wife Tracey and baby Jake came from Sherwood Park to join them and a great time was had by all. These will be memories that will be cherished by his family as Peter passed away only one week later. His grandson Braeden has already taken the task of teaching baby Jake about grandpa.
