BASTARACHE, NOEL J. - Noel J. Bastarache, 65, of Acadie Siding, with his loving family by his side, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2014 following heart complications. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Eloi and Josephine (Leger) Bastarache. Noel was a former labourer. He was very much an outdoors person and enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially partridge and deer. Noel was a country music enthusiast (Elvis Presley, George Jones and Hank Williams); an avid Montreal Canadiens hockey fan and enjoyed socializing with his friends and spending time with his family. Noel will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Angela (Richard) Bastarache; precious daughter, Noella Arsenault (Mike) of Riverview; cherished grandson, Christian Arsenault; brothers and sisters, Gerard, Ulysse, Norman, Guy, Yvon, Paul, Theresa Gallant, Melina Bastarache, Bella Cormier, Maria Bastarache and Claudette Bastarache; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Tommy.
Visitation hours at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am.
