ANDERSON, BETTY B. - Betty B. Anderson, 83, of Boundary Creek, with loving family members at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, September 1, 2014. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Kirk and Margaret (Coleman) Atkinson. Betty was a former employee of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd. and retired from Canada Post (1994). She was a member of Central United Church, the Co-op Bowling League and Eaton’s Senior Bowling League. In past years, Betty was a lover of animals and enjoyed skating, bowling, fishing, socializing with her friends and time spent with her family. Betty will be sadly missed by her son, Craig (Caroline) of Dartmouth, NS; precious grandchildren, Shaun, Jeffrey and Melissa; cherished great grandchildren, Connor, Charlee, Elizabeth and Penny; brother, Eric Atkinson of Dartmouth, NS; close friend, Velma Black of Boundary Creek; one niece and one nephew. Special thanks and appreciation to Rev. Dr. Lindsay Taylor, Rev. Gordon Horsman, Dr. Ghedira and the Oncology Staff of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital, Dr. John McCrea, Dr. Pat Phelan, the professional staff and services of the New Brunswick Extra Mural Services and to the volunteers and services of the local Hospice and the Red Cross. Also, thanks for the prayers and many acts of kindness shown to Betty during her illness.
No visiting hours by personal request. Celebration of Life Service for Betty at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Lindsay Taylor officiating. Refreshments following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
