At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, of Earl Leo "Shiney" Cornish of 220 Main Street, Tignish, age 76 years. Loving companion of Debby Doucette. Born at Newton, Mass., on May 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Earl A. and Mary A. (nee Peters) Cornish. He is survived by a son, Robert L. Cornish of Albany, New York, and by a daughter Cari Aufman, of Wayland Mass. Also surviving is a brother Robert H. Cornish, of Colorado, U.S.A. He was predeceased by his wife Christine (nee King) Cornish in 1982. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visitation by personal request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. Rev. Albin Arsenault celebrant. Interment of cremains to take place in the church cemetery.
