Mary R. Gladwell
Mary R. Gladwell, 99, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan.
Born in Fox River, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Jessie (Smith) Lake. She was a veteran of the Second World War serving in England as a telephone operator. She was a long serving member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fox River.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Gregory, Maple Ridge, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan; sisters, Enid, Elizabeth, Kathleen; brothers, William, Stanley, Herbert, Donald, Harold.
Funeral 2 p.m. was Monday [September 8, 2014] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fox River.
