MAZEROLLE, EDMOND - (1929 - 2014) - POINTE-SAPIN, NB - Edmond Mazerolle 84, of Pointe-Sapin, husband of the late Marcella (Mercure) Mazerolle (2008) passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Born in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late Georges and late Marguerite (Vautour) Mazerolle. Edmond will be sadly missed by his four sons, Eugène (Corinne), Paul (Lucille), Ernest (Vivianne) all of Pointe-Sapin, Louis (Lorraine) of Kouchibouguac; four daughters, Valdine (Esmond Comeau) of St. Louis, Michelle (Denis), Odette Reiber (Tim) all of Kitchener, ON, Idora (late Normand Chevarie) of St. Ignace, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Alfred (Adeline); adopted brothers and sisters, Noëlla Richard (Vital), Lorainne Morais (Auguste), Gemma (late Barney Hannay), Paul Dugas (Lorainne), Euclide Dugas (Christina), Odette Gaudet (Aurèle) and Edna Mieuse (Stanley). He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Moïse and Lina Dugas, adopted brother, Camille Dugas; five brothers, Alphée (Sandra), Georges (late Jeannette), Isidore (Florine), Eloi, Albert (Marie); one sister Lorida (late Luc Blanchard) and two grandsons, Medard and Marc.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday at the Pointe-Sapin Community Center, 3268 Route 117, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Wednesday at 4:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 6:00 pm, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
