Annie Jane Poulette, 52, of 30 Beach Road, Eskasoni, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Julia (Paul) Marshall.
She was a memeber of Holy Family parish in Eskasoni. Annie Jane was active in the Cursillo Movement and the Praying Hands Group. She was employed for a number of years at the Miq' kmaw Lodge in the Rehabilitation Centre as a treatment counsellor.
Surviving are her only daughter, Rainbow (Alvin Simon) of Eskasoni, and two sons, Ray (Andree) and Bernard Jr. (Alice) both of Eskasoni. She is also survived by sisters, Mary Jane (Walter) Stevens, Mary Elizabeth 'Mollage' (Brendan) Poulette, Mary Helen 'Maily' (Charlie) Pierro, Darlene Marshall and Nora Marshall; brothers, Wilfred 'Joe' (Yvonne) Paul, Kenneth 'Bose' Marshall, Clarence (Florence) Paul, Danny 'Chief' Marshal and Frank Marshall, all of Eskasoni. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins; an aunt Elizabeth; three uncles, Albert, Gabriel and Mike; godfather, 'Goly' Paul, and give godchildren, Val, Edwin, Andre Jr., Shelby and Brady.
Annie Jane was predeceased by two sons, Charles Jesmond and Bradley Jonathan.
Visitation for the late Annie Jane Poulette will be held after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at her home on 30 Beach Rd., Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
