SMITH, LLOYD E. - 1944-2014 - Miramichi – Lloyd Edward Smith, husband of Donna Smith, of Geralyn Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday evening, September26, 2014, at the age of 69. Born in Chatham, on October 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Lloyd G. and Alice G. (Graham) Smith. He was a retired stationary engineer, employed with N.B. Power Corp. for thirty-five years; and a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, Miramichi; a member of I.B.E. W.; a former member of the Station Wharf Marina. He is survived by his wife, the former Donna Hudgens; one daughter, Shawna Goguen (Jr.), of Miramichi and one son, Scott Smith (Paulette), of Miramichi; two grandchildren, Madison and Darcie; one brother, Garth Smith (Penny), of Miramichi; two nieces, Lisa and Nicole; one nephew, Derek; one great-nephew, Alex; as well as his best friend, Sparky.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Saturday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be held from Calvin Presbyterian Church, King St., Miramichi, on Monday, September 29, 2014, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi.
