Gemma Bourque
GEMMA BOURQUE (nee GAUVIN) - July 30, 1924 - September 25, 2014
Our Mom, Gemma Bourque, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. She is predeceased by her parents Antoine and Vitaline Gauvin, her loving husband Frank (Francois), her brothers Laurie, Armand (Claudette), Art (Jackie) and her sister Rose (Joe Fraughton). She will be prayed for by her sister Gloria (Yves Cyr), brother Clarence (Alma) and her birth daughter Marilyn Brown. She leaves her two children David and Annette (Neil). Gemma will be sadly missed by her grandson Mark and her many nieces and nephews. She is in the prayers of her longtime, dear friend Letha Pottier and her family, Elaine, Paulette, Lana and Raymond. Gemma worked for Bell Canada for many years as a telephone operator and following her retirement from Bell, she worked on the switchboard for the law firm Borden Elliot. She had many friends at St. Theresa's Shrine of the Little Flower, where she attended daily mass. Gemma had many favourite charities, including Sisters of the Precious Blood and the Canadian Cancer Society. A donation to one of these charities, in lieu of flowers, would be welcomed and appreciated. Her remains will be cremated and at a later date there will be a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa's followed by a Catholic burial.
