NICKERSON, Greta “Genevieve”, 93. Born January 11, 1921 at home in Clam Point, Cape Sable Island, NS. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Roseway Manor in Shelburne. She was the daughter of Luther Burgess and Cynthelia “Celia” (Bateman) Quinlan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Allison Morton Nickerson; daughter, Elizabeth in infancy; siblings, Murray and Helena (Bernard) Maloney. She is survived by brother James Quinlan; sister, Etta Ross; children, Allison (Georgie), William (Valerie), Mary; grandchildren, Kathy, Heidi, Madonna, Martin, David, Jimmie, Shelley, Krystal; great-grandchildren, Mandy, Nicholas, Amber, Bobby, Ryan, Nolan, Barrett, Kyle, Carlee, Peyton, Morgan, Brooklyn, Bryten; great-great granddaughter, Sofia whom she so proudly had her fifth generation photo taken with. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 2, from the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington with Rev. Edwin Allen officiating. Interment to follow in the Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island. Memorial donations may be made to the Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #48 Clark’s Harbour, or a charity of your choice.
