MICHAUD, ALBERT - At the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, Moncton, Sunday, September 28, 2014, Mr. Albert Michaud of Shediac passed away at the age of 78 years. He was the husband of Solange (Theriault) Michaud. Born at Saint-Andre, Madawaska County in 1936, he was a son of the late William and Yvonne (Castonguay) Michaud. Mr. Michaud was a School Bus Driver for several years and was also a mailman. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree of Saint-Andre Council 7222 and 4th degree of the Rev. Irenee St-Amand Assembly 1907. He was also an honorary member of the Saint-Andre Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife, his five children, Dario (Marie) of Pointe-du-Chêne, Sylvie (René Leblanc) of Shediac, Carole (Gilles Paulin) of Dieppe, Roch (Lisa) of Moncton and Aldo (Amanda) of Saint-Andre, nine grandchildren, Tania (Johny Boudreau), Ariane (Shawn Ferris), Lysiane (Chris Nicholson), Renée, Mathieu (Tania Ross), Vanessa, Pamela, Simon and Christian, seven grandchildren, Hailey, Hope, Tryceson, Jayda, Savannah, Caleb and Damien, three brothers, Joseph (late Rachelle) of Shawinigan, Quebec, Bertin (Margot) of Terrebonne, Quebec and Roland (Diane) of Grand Falls, as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Real (late Réjeanne), Felix (Pierrette) and one sister, Jeannette (late Normand Levesque).
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. His funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2nd at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Andre Roman Catholic Church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet for prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
