SUTTLE, David George, 61, East Green Harbour, passed away in Roseway Hospital on Monday, October 1, 2014. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Charles and Annie (West) Suttle. David had a great sense of community spirit as shown by his willingness to help over 60 foster children and over 15 international students. He was an avid volunteer in his community. His greatest passions were his music, camping, fishing, family vacations, and finding a “good bargain”, as well as his love for cats and dogs. He is survived by his wife, Ellen (MacDonald); daughter, Tiffany (Curtis); foster children, Eva (Rob); Tyler (Taryn); Cody (Kayleigh); Keisha, Kyle, Tim, Jennifer (Matt); Lonnie, Peter, Trevor, Brad, and international students, Mariko, Sachiko and Remi; grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Lily, Elijah, Sharay and Neela plus numerous other grandchildren to which he was fondly known as “Grampy Santa Claus”. He is also survived by brothers, Bill (Heather), Lockeport; Vincent (Bev), Oshawa. He was predeceased by brother, Joe and sisters Betty and Joan. Visitation will be Sunday, October 5 from 7-9 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport where a funeral service will take place on Monday at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Cox officiating. Interment in Lockeport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport Medical First Responders, Lockeport Cemetery or St. Andrews United Church, Lockeport.
