The death occurred suddenly as the result of a highway accident on Saturday, January 3, 2009, of Blair Wendell Phillips of St. Eleanors, P.E.I., aged 62 years. Blair was born on August 30, 1946, in Summerside, P.E.I., to his parents, Wendell and the late Ruth (nee Campbell) Phillips. Loving brother to Judy (Norbert) O’Brien of St. Eleanors and Brenda Phillips of Cornwall. Also lovingly remembered by his friend Joan DesRoches, his nephews Jason and Kevin (Lisa) O’Brien, his niece Amanda O’Brien, his great-nephews Aaron and Liam O’Brien and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother Ruth, Blair was predeceased by his grandparents Aretus and Lina Campbell and William G. and Dorthea Phillips. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, January 7, 2009, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Blair’s memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Cat Action Team would be greatly appreciated.
