June C. Peterson, age 83, of New Glasgow, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Summerside, PEI.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Bernard “Brick” and Margaret (Rose) MacLean.

She was a former employee of Cara Operations Ltd. at the Halifax Int. Airport for many years. She enjoyed her family and friends, reading, dancing, traveling and “Coronation Street”.

She is survived by her son Patrick (Nicole), Summerside; daughter-in-law Doreen, Halifax; 5 grandchildren, Megan, Alysa, Thresa, Neil, and Joey; several great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Forhart, Lower Sackville; and 3 MacLean nephews, John, Laurie, Stephen, and their wives.

She was predeceased by her husband William; daughter Joanne Myers; son William; grandson Kyle Myers; brother Jack “Red” MacLean; and two fiances John Hoare and Robert Johnson.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Her memorial service will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton at a later date. Services are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
