It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Madeline Whalen announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Bob (Cathy) Whalen, Trudy (Paul) Fagan, Donna (Tim) Guy, Terry (Valerie) Whalen, Susan (Pierre) Langlois; grandchildren: Darryl (Joanne), Colin (Crystal), Mark, Wendy, Robert, Colleen (Sheldon), Jackie (Martin), Isaac (Mia), Brandon, Brittany, Sarah (Troy), and Stephanie (Justin); great grandchildren: Joshua, Caleb, Sara, Alex, Zoey, Lauren, Katelyn, Jordyn, Eric, Mia, and Nathan; sister and best friend Jean, Myra, Helen (Leonard), and Sherry (Dave); brother Bob Martin, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde Whalen, grandson Daniel Langlois, parents Les and Gladys Martin, sister Marg, sister-in-law Ruby Martin, brothers-in-law: Jack Robbins and Wilson Piercey. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday October 9, 2014 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Friday 10 a.m. - 12 noon, from where the funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. officiated by Reverend Roberta Woodman. Cremation to follow and interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ruby’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
