GOGUEN, IRENE - 1915 - 2014 - Irène Goguen, 99, of Villa Providence, Shediac, NB, passed away on Thursday, October 9th, 2014, at her residence. Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jacques “Jim” and the late Précille (née: Bastarache) Bastarache. Mrs. Goguen was a long time member of Sainte-Thérèse parish in Dieppe. A very devoted mother and grandmother, she will be missed by her two daughters: Lucille Breau (Paul LeBlanc) of Dieppe and Rose-Marie (late Glen) Martel of Riverview; four sons: Ronald (Doris) of St-Edouard-de-Kent, Jacques (Ella) of Moncton, Emery (Clara) and Francis (Mary), both of Bathurst; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her husband, Léonide in 1998; five sisters: Lucie, Philomène, Emma, Elise and Ida; three brothers: Néri, Néri and Joseph and also by two granddaughters.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, October 13th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
