Lucy Crawford
CRAWFORD, LUCY - Lucy Crawford, 100, of Auberge du Soleil, formerly of Champlain Street, Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, October 10th, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Saint-Joseph-du-Moine, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and the late Mary Helene (née: Doucet) Chiasson. Lucy was a gracious, hospitable lady with a competitive spirit, avid reader, great storyteller and enjoyed playing cards. She was sharp, quick witted and lived life on her own terms right to the end, and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine (Roy) Smith of Ottawa, ON; one son, Jim (Joanne) Crawford of Shediac Bridge; two sisters: Joey MacDonald of Florida and Dora Gaudet of Shrewsbury, Mass; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd in 1994; one daughter, Norma; one son, Bill; two sisters: Tonie and Beatrice; seven brothers: Jim, Val, Gabe, Levis, Raymond, Isidore at a young age and Isidore; one grandson, David and also by one great granddaughter, Danielle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
