Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Complex on Saturday, October 11, 2014, Kari Mootrey, age 51. Predeceased by her son-in-law, Jason Vardy. Kari was dearly loved and will be mourned deeply by her husband, Leslie Mootrey; her parents, Ed and Kay Coxworthy of Bell Island; her brothers: Robert, Edward, Paul (Tammy); her step-children in Ontario: Jr. (Tracey), Tina (the late Jason) Vardy, and Nicole (Rob) Blundon; her step-grandchildren: Kiersten, Zachary, Tyler, Kyle, Makayla, Hayden and Ariya; and her nieces and nephews: Scott, Andrea, Paul, Victoria and Chelsea. Also leaving to mourn, the Mootrey family, the extended Dollmont and Coxworthy families and a wide circle of extended family and many friends in Newfoundland and Ontario, especially her four-legged babies: Tika, Paco, and Shyla. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, October 14, from 6pm-9pm and on Wednesday, October 15, from 10am-12noon. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 2:00pm, with cremation to follow.
