The death occurred peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2009, at his residence in St. Charles, of Leonard Gallant, age 54 years. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Holland) and father of Matthew (Page). Sadly missed by grandchildren Sierra and Cole. Survived by sisters Sharon (Bill) Tassell, Linda (Gerald) Peters, Beverly Schwab, Cindy Gallant, Sandra (Danny) Banks and brothers Johnny (Marita) Gallant, Jerry (Marie) Gallant, Roger (Theresa) Gallant, Phillip (Shellie) Gallant, Peter Gallant. Sadly missed by father- and mother-in-law Willie and Eleanor Holland and brothers-in-law Gerry and Blair Holland and sisters-in-law Bev (Donnie) Gillis, Doris (Kirby) Wakelin and Charlotte Holland and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents James and Theresa Gallant, sister Dianne Clinton and nephew Mitchell Gallant. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 1-1:30 p.m. Funeral to be held on Thursday at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
