DONALD ELLIOTT
September 29, 1930 - October 10, 2014
Donald, Don, Dad, Grandpa Don, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Mr Elliott; he identified with many different titles and names. To everyone he was a kind, polite and gentle man with wonderful strength of character and an ever-present, genuine smile. He would always go out of his way to hold a door open for someone, anyone. "Everything will be all-right" was his motto through good times or bad. His face beamed when he spoke of, or saw any of his children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. This wonderful man of 84 years left the world behind on October 10th after being inflicted with a stroke five days before. His final days were peaceful, surrounded at all times by many of his loved ones.
Don was predeceased by the first love of his life Anita, after 47 years of marriage.
He is missed by many, and survived by his three children Leslie (Wesley), Karen (Mike) and Michael (Wendy); his eight grandchildren; Ryan (Alicia), Benjamin (Liza), Jeremy (Haeri), Gregory (Amanda), Steven (April), Jordan, Forrest and Brenden; and his two great-grandchildren, Bethany and Henry.
He leaves behind Leona, his loving wife and very special companion. They had a short time together but in that time they celebrated a very special bond that was so obvious to everyone that saw them together.
Don requested no funeral be held, so the family will honour him with a private gathering at which time his ashes will be spread at his favourite place so the waves can roll in and disperse his earthly remains and the beautiful sunsets can forever illuminate his spirit.
