Formerly of Charlottetown, Devin Joseph Bernard died at his home in Calgary, AB, on Monday, October 6, 2014, age 25 years. Devin grew up playing in the fields of Alberton and Summerside. He was a quiet, gentle person who gave freely of himself to his family and loved ones. He moved to Charlottetown as a teenager, then to Calgary to pursue a career as an electrician. Devin is survived by his parents, Aubrey Bernard (Nessya Neemron), Lillian Cheverie; sisters, Crystal Bernard (Jason Gravelle), Macayla Cheverie, and Briana Marie Cheverie. Beloved uncle of Logan MacLaren and Sadie Gravelle. Lovingly remembered by grandparents, Eunice and Melvin Bernard, and Bernice MacPherson (Charles MacPherson), and Henry MacDonald (deceased), and by numerous aunts and uncles. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 17, at St. Francis of Assisi in Cornwall. Rev. Robert Coady will preside. Memorial donations may be made to the P.E.I. Chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
