SADIE MAY MACINNIS

Card of Thanks
We, the family of the late Sadie May MacInnis, would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us and our families during the wake and funeral of our dear Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother who passed away on September 16, 2014. A sincere thank you to all who called, visited, (some from great distance), attended her wake and funeral, brought food, to the church and to our homes as well, sent cards, gifts and flowers or made donations in Sadie’s memory. Your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated. Sincere thanks to Rev. Hazel-Jane Morris for arranging and conduction the funeral service, to organist/choir director Heather MacInnis, and all choir members of St. Anne’s Bay United Church. A special thanks to Angus MacLeod, who read the Gaelic scripture. To the Gaelic singers, Bonnie Thompson, Janet MacNeil, Amber Buchanan, Hannah MacNeil and Little Sadie Buchanan for their moving rendition of “The Lord’s Prayer” in Gaelic. Special thanks to Marilyn MacDonald –MacKinnon, for her heartfelt words of remembrance. You all made Sadie’s service both special and memorable. To the pallbearers Claude MacLeod, Davie Noseworthy, Lloyd Michael MacInnis, Merrill MacInnis, Murdock MacDonald and Russell MacInnis, thank you. To the St. Ann’s Bay United Church UCW, whose efforts in the tearoom allowed us to invite everyone for tea, refreshment and a chance to visit old friends. To church members who prepared the bulletin and looked after other details for Sadie’s service. We acknowledge Alderwood Sadie’s home for the last few years, for the wonderful care and kindness extended to her there, and the comfort extended to us, thank you. To the homecare workers who attended to Sadie in her home, to all the great neighbours in the North Shore Community and expanded community, for visits, gifts, plowing snow, hailing wood sharing news and all the activities, that Sadie loved being part of, your gifts were special, thank you. To David and Shaun Dunlop of MacAskill’s Funeral Home, your guidance, compassion and professionalism was very helpful through difficult times. To David Noseworthy and Brian MacDonald for taking care of everything at Riverside Cemetery, thank you very much.
