WILSON, MURIEL E. - Muriel Elizabeth Wilson, 66, of Mission, BC, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Abbotsford, BC. Born April 21, 1948 in Lewis Mountain, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Pearl (Rogers) Burgess. Muriel was a care giver and a homemaker. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family. Muriel is survived by, and will be deeply missed by her sons, Roy (Brad) of Mission, Kenneth of Powell River, BC and Harold of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren Tyler and Sonya; sisters, Joyce Fiset (Bob), Rev. Carol Mullin (Merlin); brother, Vincent Burgess (Rosie) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and step-father, Emmerson Rogers, Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Roy K. Wilson. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care and kindness of the staff at The Residence in Mission where Muriel resided since she suffered a stroke at the age of 59.
A private memorial service will be held in Mission. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
