Windsor Howatt

HOWATT, WINDSOR - It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Windsor Howatt, 84 of Fredericton New Brunswick on October 23, 2014. Windsor was proud to have been born on Prince Edward Island and he moved to the Fredericton area when he was sixteen years old. He was the son of the late Fenton and Lena (Maybe) Howatt. Windsor is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Patricia (Wood), sons Eric (Marilyn), Tim (Suzanne) and Mark (Audrey), special grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families; brothers Leslie (Macrena) and Arnold (Faith) of Victoria PEI. Windsor was proud to have managed rental properties in the Fredericton area until his retirement and the countless hours of work he invested in the maintenance of his home on Chestnut Street and the camp at Brown Lake. Windsor especially enjoyed playing cards, working in his flower and vegetable gardens and preserving vegetables and pickles for his family, extended friends and acquaintances.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Windsor was always the happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. The family encourages everyone that knew him to remember the good times they had with him prior to his recent illness.
For those who wish to make donations in memory of Windsor, the family suggests the NB Diabetes Association, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or a charity of their choice. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
