It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of the late Donald Buckle on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the age of 88 years, at his family residence, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his wife of 68 years, Mary (nee Watson); children: Patricia (Bill), Elaine (Robert “Bob”), Marie, Joanne, Nancy, Donald (Donna), Mary Anne (Royal), Kelly (Gloria), Casey, Connie, and Robin (Gloria); grandchildren: Kimberly, Sean, Kellie, Robin Lynn, Cory, Jason, Jennifer, Leslie, Shania, Jordan, Alanna, Amanda, Robert, Tiffany, Nicole, Duane, Haven, Kylie, Haley, Jack, and Ryan; fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special sister Betty Bennett. Predeceased by his father William Buckle and sister Gladys Belyea. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, officiated by The Very Reverend Baxter Park. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
