MATTHEWS, ANNIE D. - 1912 - 2014 - Miramichi - Annie Druscilla Matthews, widow of the late Edward J. Matthews of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Wellington St., passed away at her residence on Saturday morning, October 25, 2014, at the age of 102. Born in Chatham, on January 25, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Annie (MacArthur) Gammon. She was a homemaker; a member of St. Andrews United Church; a life member of the U.C.W. (Maude Jardine Unit) of her church; a member of the Silver Link #61, Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by one son, Robert Matthews (Stella), of Miramichi; six grandchildren, Jaunita, Laurie, Jason, David, Edward, Andrea; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Jake, Quinn; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Trevors; her second husband, Edward Matthews; three sons, Carlin and David Trevors and Angus Matthews; one great grand daughter, Elizabeth Ann Matthews; one great grandson, Tyler O’Reilly; three sisters Ruth, Grace and Mona; four brothers Lloyd, Clifford, Robert and Carlin.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi.
