1936-2014
Passed away at the Placentia Health Centre on October 24th, 2014, Agnes Mary Collins, in her 78th year. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Agnes Collins; her brothers Kevin, Peter and Tony; and her sisters Celine, Kathleen, Mae and Eleanor. Leaving to mourn with loving memories: her devoted spouse of 45 years, Sam Ghaney, also the Ghaney family with whom she was very close; her cherished and beloved dog Kia; brother Charlie (Bev) in Mass., USA; sisters Leone and Alice in Placentia; in-laws Marg Collins, Isabel Collins and Bob Martin; a large number of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; as well as a large circle of extended family members and friends. Special thanks to Father Jerome Hann for his many visits to the hospital, and to the staff at the Placentia Health Centre for their kindness and professional care both to Agnes and her family. Many thanks to those who supported the family at the hospital in her final hours, also to Maher's Funeral Home for their professional service. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11:00am on Monday, October 27th at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
