The passing of Bert W. Worthen of Fredericton, NB, occurred on September 16, 2014 at the age of 67.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, Bert was the son of the late Bert Worthen and the late Phyllis Sanderson.
Bert is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Nancy (MacTavish), daughter Ashely (Levi); son Steven, daughter Amanda Dow (Steve), son Brent Howse (Lisa); grandchildren: Lily Sheppard (Bert’s pride and joy); Brendon MacKenzie, Brycen and Isabella Dow; step-mom Karen Worthen; sisters: Carol-Ann Johnson, Wanda Hachey (Gerry), Debbie Clements (George), Bette Scanlan (Murray), Lillian Worthen (Tommy), Tammy MacKinnon (Jim), Gail Farrell (Mike), Georgina Ross (Andrew), Ginny McArthur (Darryl); brothers: Bobby Worthen, Dennis Worthen (Bridget), Mike Worthen, Sandy Sanderson (Keri), James Worthen, sister-in-law Margie Worthen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Bert was predeceased by step-father Robert Sanderson and brother David Worthen.
Interment of ashes will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester at 2 p.m. November 1 with a reception to follow at the Pictou Landing Fire Hall from 3-5 p.m.
