FAHIE, VIOLET MAY -1921 - 2014 - Violet May Fahie (93) formerly of Halifax, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 28, 2014 at Serenacare, Moncton, NB. Born in Windsor, ON; she was the daughter of the late John George and Christina May (Branton) Patterson. Known for her zany sense of humor and kind heart, Vi will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. She was a second mother to so many of the young people who grew up around her. Along with taking great delight in amusing everyone she talked to, a good book through a late night was a big part of her life. Left with fond memories are her children Christina Harper (Ivan) and Gary Fahie (Jackie); granddaughters Margaret Yeadon (Glen) and Nicole Fahie; great-granddaughter Maya Fahie; as well as her niece Jean Christie. She was predeceased by her parents John George Patterson, Christina May (Branton) Patterson, step-mother Harriet (Boarer) Patterson, her 1st husband Walter Grant, 2nd husband David Fahie, grandson Grant Harper and by her siblings Dorothy (Jack) Christie, Edith (Pete) Tourangeau, Reginald (Marg) Patterson and Douglas (May) Patterson.
At Violet's request a private gathering will be held at a later date. Donations in Violet's memory made to the IWK Health Center Foundation or to your local chapter, MS Society would be appreciated by her family.
