Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at the Health Science Complex, on Thursday October 30, 2014 Kathleen Smith of Mount Pearl, originally of St. Bernard's Fortune Bay, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her husband, Samuel R, brothers, Eugene, Gerald, Kevin and Cyril. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her two daughters: Elaine Matthews, Sharon Fitzgerald (John); three sons: Keith (Barbara), Gerald (Pat), and Paul (Betty); ten grandchildren, Robert Matthews, Catherine Matthews-Kane (HayDen), Joanne Smith, Denise Levecque (Paul), Stephanie Smith; Jeff Smith (Amanda), Lorna DePetrillo (Tino), Neil Smith (Angie), Adrienne Fitzgerald and Jennifer Fitzgerald; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in law, Sheila Byrne, Doris Smith, and Pearl Johnston; special friend Millie Delaney; and a large circle of relatives and friends, especially her friends at Columbus Centre, Mount Pearl. Kathleen was a long time member of the Catholic Women's League, Mary Queen of the World Parish. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, November 3 at 9:30 am from Mary Queen of the World Church. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No Flowers by request. Donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre or the Iris Kirby House.
