It is with sadness we announce the passing of Violet Jean Hodgson, formerly of Gibsons, a 94-year-old mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who died peacefully in her sleep on October 11, 2014.
Jean was a giant in a tiny body, with brilliant mind and iron will.  A master bridge player, a former town councillor and an accomplished gardener, Jean lived a busy and productive life filled with many adventures and travels.
A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held in her hometown of Peterborough, Ontario where she will be placed to rest with her pre-deceased husband George.
