Bernard Parks
PARKS, BERNARD J. - Saint John, NB, May 1944 - It is with great sadness that the family of Bernard James Parks announces his passing after a long battle with his illness on October 26, 2014. Bernard died peacefully and is with his loving Lord. Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Reuel and Marguerite (Peggy) Parks. Bernard will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Jeff Foster, and survived by his siblings, Michael (Annette) sister-in-law Laurinda, Janice (John), Sharon (Ira), Patsy (Judy), Marilyn (Raymond), Randy (Darlene), Kevin (Ann) and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his twin brother Brian, and brothers Delbert and Duane. Bernard was very thoughtful to homeless people. In the winter he would make large pots of soup and he and Jeff would go out on the cold nights and would feed the hungry people. In his younger years Bernard worked many of those years at the Admiral Beatty Hotel.
Cremation and funeral has taken place in Charlesbourg, Quebec, October 4, 2 pm 2014. A Memorial Mass will be held for Bernard on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 12 pm for family and friends at St. Piux X Church, 316 Somerset St. Saint John, NB.
