Born September 7, 1944 in St. John's, NL. Passed away on November 7, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, Eunice Lydia Harris (nee Smith). Predeceased by her parents Betty and Llewlyn Smith. Leaving to mourn her husband of 46 years, Ronald; sons: Sean Harris and Scott Harris (Tamlin); loving grandchildren: Emma, Mattie, Megan and Christopher; one great-granddaughter, Isabella. Also leaving behind one sister, Yvonne Hannam, and two brothers: Leonard Smith (Carolyn) and Craig Smith (Tina); as well as many friends, especially Judy Gladney - mom's dearest friend and constant source of strength and love. Special thanks to Dr. Pam Snow, Dr. Siddqui, Dr. Lesa Dawson, and the best group of Nurses and Care Givers at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre and the Health Sciences Complex. Thanks to Mary Jenkins and to Leah Miller for their compassionate care. She lived her life with the deepest love for her family and friends. A quick, sharp wit and luminous smile. She was compassionate to those less fortunate and loved her cats, Cali and Apricot. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, for family on Sunday, November 9, at 6pm, and open to family and friends from 7-9pm and on Monday, November 10, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place at Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 11:00am.
