Raymond Steeves
STEEVES, RAYMOND LESLIE - Raymond L. Steeves, 88, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough and formerly of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Born in Osborne Corner, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Martha Ann (Geldart) Steeves. Raymond was a Veteran of the Second World War having served with the Royal Canadian Army, was retired from T. Eaton and Co., member of Lower Coverdale Baptist Church and was a member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association. Raymond will be sadly missed by his daughters, Linda Steeves (Donald), Donna Molloy and Lisa Power (Mike); sons, Kelvin Steeves (Kathy) and Kendall Steeves (Amanda); grandchildren, Troy, Travis, Angela, Kristie, Ashley, Kaleb, Colby and Isaiah; step-grandchildren, Darla, Teena, Chris and Sean; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Wilson (Harold) and Erma Freeman (Don); several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Lena S. (Steeves) Steeves; brother, Floyd.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995) on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association Memorial Service on Tuesday at 5:45 pm. A Service Celebrating Raymond’s Life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Reception following the service; with Rev. Gordon Horsman officiating. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations in Raymond’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
