We regret to announce the passing of Neil Cann, 87, on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late John E. and Emilie Cann.
Neil enjoyed the little things in life. He loved the Show & Shine Car Shows, and to show off his 57 Meteor. He will be forever loved and missed by all.
Neil is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rhona M. (Allen) Cann, and his sons, John Lawrence (Florence) and Stephen (Denise), both of Sydney Mines. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Sheila, Jonathan, Matthew and Jamie, great-grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler and Rebecca, brother John Cann, sister Margaret White, brother-in-law Charles Allen, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his brother William, sister Emilie, sister-in-law Mary Allen, and mother and father-in-law George Thomas and Elizabeth (Pyke) Allen.
In keeping with Neil’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
