CAISSIE, GÉRARD - 1926 - 2014 - Gérard Caissie, 88, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Saint-Antoine passed away at the Villa on Tuesday November 11, 2014. He was married to Angela (Richard) Caissie. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Eugénie (Cormier) Caissie. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Angela, his children; Thérèse LeBlanc (Emile) of Dieppe, Aline Caissie (Davene) of Saint-Norbert, Jeannine Caissie of Saint-Antoine and Jean-Guy (Courtney) of Moncton, his grandchildren; Melanie, Marc, Michel, Tammy, Josee and Mathieu,his great grandchild, Jessie. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Eugénie Léger, Émerise Gaudet both of Grand Barachois and Bernice Cormier of Richiboucto-Village, three brothers; Charles (Adeline) of Grand Barachois, Émery (Corinne) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent and Jean-Baptiste of Richiboucto-Village and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a great grandson, Adam (2006), eleven sisters; Marie, Celina, Elmire, Edmée, Lorainne, Thérèse, Laudia, Jeanne, Yvonne, Odila and Mélina (Mina) and four brothers; Alyre, André, Zoel and Régis.
At the family's request there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be held in the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Antoine, on Saturday November 15,2014 at 11:00am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Gérard’s memory a donation can be made to the Villa Providence in Shediac.
