It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Madeline Hayward (Way), at the age of 92 while surrounded by her loving family at the Bonavista Hospital on November 12, 2014. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her 11 children: Pearl Tilley (Harvey), Joan Templeman (Cyril), Catherine Fox (Jim), Lloyd (Bonnie), William (Phyllis), Gordon, Barry (Winnie), Diane Higgins (Harry), Gary (Bonnie), Peggy, and David (Marion). She will also be sadly missed by her brother Lloyd residing in ON, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Madeline is predeceased by her husband Seward, son Charlie, daughter Christine, parents Joseph and Jessie Way, brothers Gordon and Howard, and sisters Meta Hicks and Marjorie Bradley. Resting at Strathie's Funeral Home, Bonavista with public visitation from 1 - 10 p.m. on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16th at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial United Church, Bonavista with internment at the Memorial United Church Cemetery, Bonavista. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Memorial United Church, Bonavista.
