CHURCHILL, Susan Dorothy - age 69, of Yarmouth. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Churchill on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Susan was the loving mother of three beautiful daughters and worked tirelessly with her husband Bruce to ensure the success of several family businesses including B. Churchill Fuels, B and S Rentals, Clean-Rite Industrial Cleaners and East Coast Marine Brokers. She was a very involved parent as her children grew up and was a past leader with the Prince Charles 4-H club and past member of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Chebogue Parents Committee. Susan was very active in St. Ambrose parish as a past lector and current member of the Hospitality Committee. She loved to travel and was just as comfortable winter camping in a tent as she was enjoying the warm sun on a deck in Costa Rica. Susan is survived by her mother, Margaret Henderson, her husband, Bruce Churchill, two daughters, Sherry (Randy), Fredericton NB, Melissa (Marnie), Ottawa ON and three grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew and Adelaide. She was predeceased by her father, Parker Henderson and daughter, Aimee Churchill-Bain. Her close friends were as important to her as family and they will truly miss her. Visitation took place at H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth on Thursday, November 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services were held at St. Ambrose Cathedral on Friday, November 14 at 10 a.m., Father Gerald David officiated. A reception followed at the Jubilee Room. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
